Mentor Mentee Day 2012

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

Saturday, November 10 2012, marked another sweet memory in our life in Kulliyyah of Pharmacy. Mentor Mentee Day 2012 was successfully organized by Rx10 (second year batch of 2012) which took place at Mahallah Maimunah (which I don't know what that specific place called). This event gathered almost full pack of students, lecturers and staffs of the Kulliyyah in one place to achieve one ultimate goal, which is to bridge the gap and strengthen the ukhuwah between them.

*I wish you don't skip the introduction. What? You skipped? T.T It's okay...*

 

"Mana nama hangpa ni..? Hangpa budak KOP ka..? kata komiti
"Hey.. Saya yang paling hot kat KOP tu pun xkan x kenal.." kata Lukman

Jenuh la nak masak untuk ramai2 ni.
Aku masak tuk laki kat rumah pun dah letih.."

One unique thing about the event is that its main agenda was to COOK. Yeah! Cooking Competition. We were all divided to groups, which named as RED, YELLOW and VIOLET houses. And each house was represented by 3 groups. Each team ought to serve the judges with appetizer, main course, veggies and fruits, and lastly the desserts. All of us were allowed to demonstrate our skills in cooking and plating (of which I don't really good at..)

The varieties of food served were very mouth-watering. The combination of Western-Eastern styles and delicacies in each group was great. All hard works and togetherness as well as sweat skills were homogeneously mixed to produce the great dishes.

"Ko ingat ko sorg je reti masak..? Tengok gaya aku, lagi hot tau.."

"Amboi Zali, sampai patah garfu yg ko pegang tu.
Lapar sgt ke?" balas Sharul

"Jangan pandang sy sebelah mata. Sy ada diploma dalam masak2 ni.."

"Awat hang letak tu..? Masin nnti.." kata Tasnim
"Dok aih.. Gula tak masin.."

"Cuba hangpa rasa sauce ni. Sedap betui.."

"Dr, you try this with this, and that with that one.."
"Mak aih.. Laju sgt tangan hang tu.." kata akak komiti
"Sis, I cant see your hands. Show it slowly.." balas Dr.

"Let me try this one..Slrrrppp!!"

"I should not try that one. haish..." kata Dr
"Habis la hangpa suma.." 

"Nampak sedap je.. Korang pakai apron tak waktu masak ni..?"

"Cerewet sangat korang ni. Makan je la.." kata tokey cafe
"Boleh amek tender jadi tukang masak budak2 ni.." kata kuncu2nya..

"Korang duk makan, tak tinggalkan kat aku sikit kan.
Penat dah tadah nak makan ni.."

"Hangpa suma baguih dlm masak2 ni.
Isnin nnti, kita buat pop quiz pasai  masak2 pulak.."

"Thanks to all I win this.."

"Bila nombor bertuah aku nak keluar ni.. Lama dah tunggu ni.."

"Weyh, aku menang hadiah. Jangan jeles ok!!"

We can really do part time job as cook in the future then.. LOL

Yeah! Very tiring, yet enjoyable day has gone. Let the memory embeds permanently in our heart. Congratulations to Rx10 for organizing such great event. What can I say is:

"MENTOR MENTEE DAY 2012 REALLY ROCK THE DAY!!"

IPHA RACE 2012

A bit formal this time, ok! EHEM2..

Today, 3rd November 2012, IPHA RACE 2012 was organized excellently by the IIUM Pharmacy Student's Society (IPHA). This annual event took it place at all over the IIUM Kuantan, Indera Mahkota Campus, which was initiated at Kulliyyah of Pharmacy. The remarkable program was officiated by Assc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Haniki, on behalf of the Dean of KOP, Dr. Muhammad.

"Ni.. hangpa cek la nama hangpa, ic suma2 tu. Jangan duk kalut sangat.."

"Strategi~~ Strategi~~" kata Afif
"Bale diorang ni.. Rambut aku dah semat2 ni tak nak tengok plak..."

Komiti pun nak jugak...

The program started at around 8 a.m with registration, breakfast, opening and launching ceremony, briefing and warming-up session. The warming-up session was conducted by the athlete of our batch (guess him yourselves.. o.0).

"Hangpa semua dengaq sini. Pahni kita buat stretching. Instructor baik punya. Import dari Putrajaya.."

Poco-poco~~~ (comel je Aiman buat camtu.. hahaha)

There were 9 checkpoints representing 9 buildings that the participants ought to go. Had some tasks (damn hard!!), we had our stickers, complete all the checkpoints and return to KOP. The tasks were mostly physicals and there were also tasks that play around with mental strategies.

But when I said physical, I really mean PHYSICAL. One of the tasks that my group had was we have to go Kulliyyah of Dentist (the clue is SYSTEMA~~). So, we ran like hell as if like we are chased by dogs. Then, when we reached the checkpoint, the task given was :

"Ok. You need to run about this place four times and two of you have to go to the center and cry, "PHARMACY~~" without losing your breath. And make sure your friends finish the 4x running before you lose your breath.."

Hoyeah!! The tiring feeling was heavenly indescribable. (At last, we got penalty. haha)

Ok. I don't want to make some story-telling anymore (bukannya hampa nak baca pon kan.. haha). Here are some photos taken during the race. ENJOY!!

"Kami ok je nak rasa2 makanan ni. Kami dulu apply masterchef.."

"Hang kene mengucap awal2. Kot2 la pengsan makan masakan akak tu nanti.
Mai aku ajaq hang mengucap.."

"Aku dah habaq kat hang. Akak tu masak tak sedap. Loya teruih tekak aku ni.."

"Selamat menjamu selera ye di dapur Masterchef akak ni.."

"Sedap pulak bihun letak dengan susu pekat ni.. Ko mampu buat..?"

"Ni cara letak bola pingpong kat dalam sudu tau.."

"Senang je buat ni.. #likeaboss "

"Dah alang2 last team ni, pegang je belon tu.. hahaha"

This is my personal comment about the race. Overall, the race was great. Really great. However, there were some unpleasant mumbling that I heard (including mine). The matter is there are committee that cannot give command of the task rightfully. Meaning, by my guessing, he/she does not really understand how the task should be carried out. Plus, he rule of that (particular) checkpoint was not highlighted carefully. So, I hope in the future, WE can really help each other to better this annual event. #PEACEnoWAR

Oh yeah! From all 4 groups representative, ONLY ONE managed to make a place.

And the winner is ........(drum rolling)..........

LOL~~ Congratulations from us! (who only managed to win consolation prizes)

Above all, IPHA RACE 2012 really rock the day!! Thank you and sorry to all committees that involved in making this event a success. Congratz to all of you!!

Footnote : Next year, it's our turn to conduct IPHA RACE. So, BE READY!!

Ok. There's one more thing we need to do here, which is IIUM Student Feedback Survey (SFS). This commences from 30th October 2012 - 13th November 2012. But, be aware guys! Late to do so may cause you to face disciplinary action taken by the Kulliyyah. So, do it while you have time now..

Since every single person in the batch wants to post his or her wishes on the Facebook group wall, so does the admin of the blog. The difference is, this is not a wall or something (obviously!) that everyone can post on to. So, just let the admin does what he is best at. Okie?

May this joyous Eid gives you a resplendent moment with your beloveds. Engross yourselves with the meaning of sacrifice protruded by Prophet Ibrahim a.s and Prophet Ismail a.s while carrying the injunction of Allah. May us all be blessed by Allah.
