Mentor Mentee and IPhA Race Day 2013

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

"INTERNATIONAL DISH : UNIQUE, ELEGANT, SAVOURY" 

That's the theme for this year's Mentor Mentee Day. What is more exciting this time around is the event was held together with IPhA Race. Mentor Mentee Day remains with its joyous cooking competition since last year's, that put forth the hidden talent embedded in each and every student in the Kulliyyah.

International meals were the main things that every participants should be making in this competition. Myanmar. India. Indonesia. Sudan. Libya. Iraq. Pakistan. Palestine. Bangladesh. Egypt. Each of the nations was represented by our beloved lecturers, and of course there were the "aces" of the cooking there.

And at the same time, under the shines and the heat of the sun, few teams of students were running here and there just for one aim. To win for their country they represented.

"Korang ni gaduh je. Baik korang tengok aku ber-lesung batu ni.." 

"Hai. saya tengah kaler2 ni.. Cantik kan??"

"Mak!! Adik nak kaler2 jugak.." kata budak kecik tu..
"Nanti2 la. Mak tengah tengok Dr Alfi dan isteri dia buat resepi Indon tu"

"Ada orang ngintip kita masak bang.. " kata isterinya
"Jom. Kita tunjuk skill kita..." kata Dr Alfi

"Abang hayyie, sila beratur." kata budak2..
"Aduh!! Kacau la budak ni. Baru nak potong line.. haha"

"Hang masak apa ni Farid?? Nampak best je.." tanya Razeen
"Ni secret recipe. Takleh citer kat orang.." jawab Farid

"Apa pula yang Dr May tulis ni? Dia tulis tulisan
Myanmar kasi aku baca ke?? Adeyai.." kata bro berbaju Myanmar
"Gasak la ko..." balas bro bertopi tu

"Abah.. Adik da lapar ni. Diorang ni lambat sgt masak!!"

"Perhatian kepada kanak2 sekalian. Sila siapkan
kaler2 anda terlebih dahulu sebelum makan ye.."

"Adik tunggu kejap deh.. Akak mira tengah goreng2 ni. Tungguuuu!!"

"Gini caranya buat makanan Sudan. Penat google resepi ni malam tadi" kata Lukman
"Waaah!! Bagus2. Boleh jadi calon orang gaji ni.. hehe" balas sis itu

"Asyraf!! Madam nak you masak ni elok2. Kasi sedap2 taw.." kata Madam
"Pulok doh. Aku mane la reti masak. Bale2~~" monolog Asyraf

"Asyraf nak kene masak?? Tidaaaak!!" respons Zali
"Ada jugak yang terpotong jari ni nanti.." monolog Hazirah

"Korang yakin ke apa yang korang serve ni boleh memuaskan hati kami??
Cuba rasa apa yang korang buat ni!!" kata Kak Sri

"Ni masalah besar ni. Susah betul nak tentukan pemenang. Haish.."

"What are they waiting for?? I'm starving right now!!" kata Dr Qamar
"Sabaq la Qamar. Aku pun lapaq gak..." balas Dr Saifullah

Those are the happy faces of our Pharmily. We may have some differences, and busied with our daily tight schedules. But when it comes to our Pharmily, we do have our time to the fullest. I can say that this time around, Mentor Mentee Day 2013 was a huge success. 

Congratulations to the organizing committees who had spent their time for the success of the program. (big clap!!!)

Mentor Mentee Day 2012

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

Saturday, November 10 2012, marked another sweet memory in our life in Kulliyyah of Pharmacy. Mentor Mentee Day 2012 was successfully organized by Rx10 (second year batch of 2012) which took place at Mahallah Maimunah (which I don't know what that specific place called). This event gathered almost full pack of students, lecturers and staffs of the Kulliyyah in one place to achieve one ultimate goal, which is to bridge the gap and strengthen the ukhuwah between them.

*I wish you don't skip the introduction. What? You skipped? T.T It's okay...*

 

"Mana nama hangpa ni..? Hangpa budak KOP ka..? kata komiti
"Hey.. Saya yang paling hot kat KOP tu pun xkan x kenal.." kata Lukman

One unique thing about the event is that its main agenda was to COOK. Yeah! Cooking Competition. We were all divided to groups, which named as RED, YELLOW and VIOLET houses. And each house was represented by 3 groups. Each team ought to serve the judges with appetizer, main course, veggies and fruits, and lastly the desserts. All of us were allowed to demonstrate our skills in cooking and plating (of which I don't really good at..)

The varieties of food served were very mouth-watering. The combination of Western-Eastern styles and delicacies in each group was great. All hard works and togetherness as well as sweat skills were homogeneously mixed to produce the great dishes.

"Nampak sedap je.. Korang pakai apron tak waktu masak ni..?"

"Cerewet sangat korang ni. Makan je la.." kata tokey cafe
"Boleh amek tender jadi tukang masak budak2 ni.." kata kuncu2nya..

"Korang duk makan, tak tinggalkan kat aku sikit kan.
Penat dah tadah nak makan ni.."

"Hangpa suma baguih dlm masak2 ni.
Isnin nnti, kita buat pop quiz pasai  masak2 pulak.."

"Bila nombor bertuah aku nak keluar ni.. Lama dah tunggu ni.."

We can really do part time job as cook in the future then.. LOL

Yeah! Very tiring, yet enjoyable day has gone. Let the memory embeds permanently in our heart. Congratulations to Rx10 for organizing such great event. What can I say is:
